There are no translations available.

The WILpower annual regional workshop was held from May 1 until May 6, 2010 in Amman, Jordan.

The participants of the workshop were lawyers and law students from Lebanon, Palestine, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Over 20 lawyers and students participated in the workshop.

The six-day workshop included legal training and leadership training sessions.

During the first two days of the workshop, legal training consisted of a session with Professor Kathleen Hamill who talked about human rights issues, especially about the rights of women to pass on their nationality to their children and about the rights of the child. Then, two lawyers from Sanad Law Group gave a practical legal training session about contracts and oral pleadings.

A leadership training comprised the remaining portion of the workshop, given by Penny Bamber and Fiona Gardner, two leadership consultants.  This training focused on communication, active listening, knowing yourself and giving feedback.

The participants were very motivated, enthusiastic and well-adjusted.  They all agreed on the fact that the workshop was interesting and that they gained a lot of leadership skills and legal information. Each one of the participants went back to her country enriched, with a lot of information and true friendships.
